This is my advent calendar, for you Bob!
Okay, the more I sat and looked at my last post, the more I hated how I sounded like a whiner. I couldn't bear to have everything hanging out there- it's a little chilly when you bare your soul- so, it's gone! I will publish the photos later, because I do love them, but who wants to be all depressed at Christmas?! Not me. We have so much to be grateful for, that I cannot possibly even want for more.
That said, how about some Christmas cheer? Well, here you go!
Last night my kids and I took two of our alpacas to the local Christmas, Festival of Lights parade. It was a hoot!
Although, we were FREEZING!!! The weather was sooooo cold, I wished I were one of my alpacas, with their furry, warm coats!
Here are the stars of the Festival of Lights Christmas parade in Frazier Park! On the left, BMAR's Rosie Cotton. On the right, BMAR's Quickbeam. This was Quickbeam's second parade, and readers may remember him as "Little Boy", who lost his momma when he was only 2 weeks old. Here he is, doing just great, and showing Rosie how to be the perfect parade paca!
My daughter the elf, with the calmer of the two. The alpacas are always the crowds favorite, and we invariably lag behind the float in front of us because everyone wants pictures.
My son, the look on his face is because just prior to this, Rosie was doing her bucking bronco imitation! I have the funniest picture of them both with these priceless looks on their faces.... but if I published them I'm afraid I might never see my grandchildren, so use your imagination!! 2 teenagers who would rather die than look silly + out of control alpaca = priceless!
I hope you enjoyed this visit, and will come back again soon! Next issue, the Christmas Cat!

Wonderful!
We did a parade yesterday with the cub scouts - I would have rather led a 'paca than follow the scouts pulling a wagon.
How did you get the hats to stay on?
Kimberly
Lovely! And you are allowed to whine when you need to...
The alpacas are adorable to begin with. Now there you go and gussy them all up with little hats and wreaths... too cute.
Did they drop any little tiny presents along the route? ha-ha!
Hey, everyone has their down moments, so it's fine to share. Plus, who hasn't had that moment of despair about how to finance the family's holiday dreams?
Hi Rachelle!
I hope you have a great Christmas!
I won't cause I had to put my dog to sleep today! It's nice to see that you've got some Alpacas that are happy and Healthy.
And here I thought alpacas couldn't get any cuter! This is priceless!
Rachelle, I didn't think you were out of order in that post you deleted. We all have different kinds of problems, and what kind of friends would we be if we couldn't at least share with each other? My heart goes out to you. And I (for one) would like to see some smuggled pictures of the bucking llama.
Hi Kimberly!
Hope you had a good parade too :))
I am so jealous of your weaving skills... someday, someday!!!
I will figure it out, and then, I will not have a warped heddle anymore!! *maniacal laughter*

Dear ITLT,
Yup, everyone needs to whine a little, but I just felt a little too naked out there, ya know what I mean?
Thanks my dear, and I'll see you soon!

Dear Chewy,
Well, in fact people do throw candy and stuff, although this year there was a warning to *hand* it out, not throw it.
To tell the truth, I am too busy handling the pacas to toss anything!
They didn't even leave any "Magic Christmas Beans" along the parade route either! *wink-wink*

Dear Angela,
I don't know, sometimes I think we just get our spirits so bogged down in the world, it takes away from what blessings we do have. I don't want to be that kind of person, you know?
My precious kids are going to ask Santa... these are teenagers, and they still believe in miracles. Here's hoping for one this year!

Dear Catmoves,
Well, thank you my friend. I guess I just was feeling too vulnerable about it. It felt like I was asking for donations or something LOL... and I certainly wasn't!
But, I will doctor it up and recycle it, I liked the 'favorite things' part, and the pictures!
Merry Christmas my friend, I am so very glad you are out there for me, it warms my heart!

Hi!
Yeah I sure can draw Final Fantasy Characters! My favorite is Final Fantasy VII. I love Vincent Valentine the best and Yuna from Final Fantasy X. If you look at the labels on my blog it will have the names of various series that I've done art of. Just click on it.
Thank you for your support during my troubling time. Hopefully I'll have the spirits to draw more soon.
Love Mary

Dear Bob,
Inside the little cubbies are tiny toys that the elves are making, that hang up above the workshop!
I too wish you had some pacas in a parade near you!
Merry Christmas little bear!

Nice calendar you have, I am quite surprised because I don't see them very often. In Germany they exist already since beginning of 1900 even my grandma had one.
what a gorgeous parade...you all look beautiful...guess it was quite fun, the photos are so good...here it's always raining, not very nice !
funny love, you went on my blog and I went on yours the same day...
about the scarf...if you didn't send it don't worry, give it to a friend of yours...I suppose letters and parcels have problems to travel...most of the letters i sent to america never arrived, neither the parcel i sent once to texas...that's the intention which is important and don't worry i 'm still here, reading you...I've been working a lot on my french blogs lately...much love to you sweetheart...

Dearest Mousie,
You didn't get the scarf??? I am so sad! I will send you another one, I have two of that one, and I'll send it on.
I will wait until after the Christmas holidays though, I would hate for it to get lost again.
Love you my dear! Merry Christmas!

Dear Gattina,
Hi there! I am glad you liked my Advent! I bought it here at a place called Costco- I was in line with a lady who had two of them in her cart, and I knew if I didn't go back and grab one, I would never see it again there! Sure enough, I never did. I am so glad I picked it up!
