pasture musings

These are the days in my life as an alpaca rancher. The ups and downs, the thoughts and musings done best when surrounded by furry companions and in the company of inquisitive crias. Humor is my silent, er, maybe not so silent, companion throughout life.

Things that make me smile

I originally posted this in 2007... I feel the need to smile again.

Today I thought I would share with you some things that make me smile. I hope you enjoy them, and, perhaps something will bring a smile to your face as well!
Pay it forward.

My husband- because after 14 years, he still can make me laugh out loud, and visa-versa

Where we live- could we be any luckier??

Sunsets- because they show us each and every day that God cherishes us enough to paint us a new picture every evening.

Rainbows- need I say more?

Funny faces - tee-hee "O solo mio...." :))

Flowers- to remind me that there is beauty all around, if we take the time to see it.

ALPACAS! Remind me that we are stewards over all creatures great and small

And last but certainly not least- Children.

To remind us that within the heart of a child, is the promise of tomorrow. And to remind us to live in the moment, love without fear, and laugh- loudly and as often as possible.

Till next time

Slainte~ Rachelle

    Dear Dawn,
Yes, I agree completely. It is really the one thing that has gotten us through some really, really tough times over the years.
I too am glad you have that in your life!

This is "Jack" from Pirates of the Caribbean! Isn't he a cutie?

A rainbow came into our house the other day. I put the photo's on my blog. Have a look, if you get a minute... (you'll have to scroll down a bit....)

Meanwhile, I am smiling from round Bear ear to round Bear ear because you have alpacas! I used to live in Ecuador and saw lots of llamas. I love alpacas too.

We're in England now, and not far from a Llama farm. They sell the wool, and also sell the llamas to sheep farmers, as they keep the predators away. The sheep don't mind, just think they're the King Sheep.

WOW I shall add your blog to my 'Happy Blogs List".

These are all the great places which are too beautiful and attractive, and it gives a person very fascinating view with lush green fields and a rural atmosphere with animals are roaming all around as well.

First time landed here. These creatures are so funny. Their faces belie their dry humour. They could almost me Brittish. (No offense to Brits). Great Blog.
